Jim Banks has had his official profile suspended after a tweet directed at Rachel Levine.

Rachel Levine was recently appointed Assistant Secretary for Health and Human Services and is the first transgender person to hold such an important position in the US military. 4-star officer.

And so the Republican congressman from the state of Indiana, Jim Banks – one of the largest conservative members of the US House of Representatives – decided to address Levine using the male pronoun. This led to the suspension of his profile on charges of violating the terms of service.

Jim Banks had written, referring to Levine’s appointment to the rank of 4-star admiral: ”The title of first four-star officer has been bestowed on a man.”

And eventually the tweet was deleted with the suspension of Jim Banks’ account, which stated that he would not be taking any steps back on what was stated.
