Rainbow turn for Israel’s surrogacy government
Same-sex couples in Israel will soon be able to become parents through gestational surrogacy, which was only banned for gay couples. The Supreme Court overturned parts of the law that prohibited same-sex couples from having children through the practice. The practice was only allowed for single women.

The same Constitutional Court had given the then Netanyahu government one year to write a new law, but as always happens, Parliament did not meet the deadline and so the Constitutional Court took care of it.
The announcement was made by Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, who is openly gay.
