According to initial reconstructions, Homonnay was found lifeless and naked in the Turkish bath of the club, where he had spent the last day of the old year, by club employees. After several attempts to resuscitate him, the only thing they could do was pronounce him dead. No signs of violence were found, but as a precautionary measure the authorities have ordered an autopsy at the Policlinico di Tor Vergata with the aim of determining the cause of death and verifying the possible presence of alcohol or drugs.

During the search of the premises by the authorities, vials containing a clear liquid and a white powdery substance, which could be the drug used in the rape, were recovered from Homonnay’s locker. Investigators are not closing any leads.
