The United States of America increasingly divided over the civil rights of transgender citizens
On April 20, the House of Representatives (with a Republican majority) voted in favor of the bill by Republican congressional representative Greg Steube.
European Parliament condemns Italy, Poland, and Hungary for “anti-LGBTIQ rhetoric”
This bill would amend Title IX by statutorily prohibiting schools and universities that receive federal funding from transgender students “whose sex is male” from being part of (thus competing on) women’s sports teams.
Democratic Party congressional representative voted against this anti-LGBTQI bill, which will now have to go to the Democratic-majority Senate for a vote. And the White House has made it known that if the bill also passes the Senate, President Joe Biden would veto it.

And according to a poll, a majority of U.S. voters believe the Republican Party is using the anti-LGBTQI crusade as a weapon to gain political advantage and also to further divide public opinion in the country.
