Another case of homophobia in the family

Unfortunately, we have to record a new episode of homophobia within the family, which fortunately did not turn into a tragedy. A boy attempted to commit suicide by jumping from his balcony after a violent argument with his father during dinner.

The boy called 112 and announced that he would jump off when the police arrived. Having understood his son’s intentions, the father ran after him and grabbed him by the arm, but given his determination to carry out the act, he would not have resisted for long.

In the end, thanks to the intervention of the officers of the Flying Squad of the Mirafiori police station, the boy was rescued and taken to the Molinette emergency room.

When he arrived at the emergency room, the boy wanted to publicly thank the police officers for saving his life. The story, reported by the Corriere, tells of a tense family situation, after the boy came out in September last year.

After this last episode, the parents changed their attitude towards their son.

Cases of homophobia within the family nucleus are not rare, and most of these cases end in tragedy or remain hidden from the eyes of public opinion.

The United States. A group of friends and an association that cultivates ethnic discrimination, racial superiority, and the fight against any diversity as essential pillars of its doctrine. These are the main elements of this multi-faceted novel, at times raw and hard, far from pity and useless turns of phrase, in which extreme fanaticism leads a father to desire the evil of his homosexual son, to the point of acting personally for the annihilation of this inclination. Yet “REDEMPTION DAYS” is not a novel that takes away space for hope, the same feeling that will take possession of the protagonist’s page after page, directing them to arrive very differently from the departure, a goal in which ideas change, the true virtues emerge, evil and perversions are finally removed, to achieve so, in different ways, their individual redemption.
