The new Superman is bisexual

The gallery of LGBT comics is enriched with the new Superman

On 9 November, Superman will come out of the closet and officially declare himself bisexual. In ‘Superman: Son of Ka-El’, Joe Kent – son of Clark and his long-time ex-girlfriend Lois Lane – will meet Jay Nakamura, a young journalist who will stand by him in a moment of despair. In fact, the young man has the same powers as his father and will be defending the Earth while his father is on a space mission.

Writer Tom Taylor said: “I’ve always said that everyone needs heroes and everyone deserves to see themselves in their heroes, and I’m very grateful that DC and Warner Bros. share that view. The symbol of Superman has always stood for hope, truth, and justice. Today that symbol stands for something more.

This is not a unique case, in fact, the new bisexual Superman joins a long line of LGBT+ superheroes such as Robin from Batman, then we have Batwoman (DC Comics), Green Lantern (DC Comics); Catman and Catwoman (DC Comics); the Iceman and Northstar (Marvel Comics).

A revolution that is going on and will not stop.
