An emotional conference as two Thai actors declare their love
Thai actors Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat and Tul Pakorn Thanasrivanitchai have announced their engagement at a press conference, much to the delight of their fans.
The news was greeted with satisfaction, especially in light of the recent legalisation of equal marriage in the Asian country. The law, which guarantees same-sex couples the same rights and legal protections as heterosexual couples, will come into effect on 22 January 2025.
Who are Mew and Tul?
Mew (33 years old) is best known for his role as Tharn in TharnType: The Series” and founded Mew Suppasit Studio in 2020, of which he is the CEO. And with his first debut album ‘365’ (2021), he became the first Thai artist to enter the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.
Tul, 32, is known for his participation in “Together with Me” (2017), “Manner of Death” (2020) and “Bad Romance” (2016).
The proposal was made during the event organised for the launch of his latest single “Absence”. The proposal was greeted with an emotional smile from Tul, who said he never imagined it would happen so soon.
“As I said, this song was born thanks to the person who came to fill the void in my heart. Before I started writing the song, I talked to my co-writer. And I said, “I want a song to use for my marriage proposal.” Mew said, and then knelt before her beloved Tul to declare her love.
