There is still no confirmation from the authorities about the execution of these death sentences.

To the Jerusalem Post, Peter Tatchell – a British LGBTQ+ activist – stated: ”Yet another man has been executed on a charge of ‘sodomy’, which he may or may not have committed, with or without consent. What is certain is that this man almost certainly did not receive a fair trial under Iran’s notoriously perverse judicial system. Defendants are routinely denied access to lawyers and defence witnesses’”.

Recall that the Iranian Penal Code (based on Sharia Law) punishes homosexual intercourse with 100 lashes, but if the ‘passive’ man is a Muslim: the death penalty. While a simple kiss between two men carries a corporal punishment of between 31 and 74 lashes. A dramatic situation for Iran’s LGBTQ+ community.
