This latest film will be about the story of the space hero who inspired the Buzz Lightyear toy, and among the main characters -for the first time in Pixar- will be a gay couple with an accompanying kiss.

The couple in question will comprise space ranger Alisha Hawthorne, Buzz’s best friend and voiced by Uzo Aduba -actress from ‘Orange is the New Black’-and his wife, with whom they will also have a child.

Marks & Spencer accused of overshadowing Elizabeth II for Pride Month

Uzo Aduba, about her leading lady’s kiss, explained that ”seeing a gay couple in love in a meaningful way is important for everyone.”

A kiss, however, had been removed to avoid problems and attacks from homophobic and far-right public opinion. But after a protest campaign by Pixar’s LGBT+ employees, it reinstated the kiss scene. A sign of changing times. And it’s certain to be a great gift for Pride Month.

The United States. A group of friends and an association that cultivates ethnic discrimination, racial superiority, and the fight against any diversity as essential pillars of its doctrine. These are the main elements of this multi-faceted novel, raw and brutal, far from pity and useless turns of phrase, in which extreme fanaticism leads a father to desire the evil of his homosexual son, to the point of acting personally for the annihilation of this inclination. Yet “REDEMPTION DAYS” is not a novel that takes away space for hope, the same feeling that will take possession of the protagonist’s page after page, directing them to arrive differently from the departure, a goal in which ideas change, the true virtues emerge, evil and perversions are finally removed, to achieve so, in different ways, their individual redemption.
