Young soccer player Jake Daniels after his coming out received many messages of support and praise for his gesture
Many applauded the young Blackpool striker after his historic coming out that turned him into the first active player to come out as gay since Justin Soni Fashanu in the 1990s.
The Great British actor, Sir Ian McKellen – openly gay – called him a ”hero” who represents the new generation of young people rejecting old-fashioned homophobia in sports and beyond.
English football striker Jake Daniels, coming out
At 17, @Jake_Daniels11 represents a generation that rejects old-fashioned homophobia in football and elsewhere: those who haven’t yet grown up as he has. He sets an example. No wonder so many of us, gay and everyone else, admire & treasure him as a hero. What a goal he's scored!

REDEMPTION DAYS is a novel with rainbow colors
Even the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William – president of the Football Association – wanted to give public support to the young footballer.
Football should be a game for everyone.

What Jake has done takes courage and will hopefully help break down barriers that have no place in our society.
I hope his decision to speak openly gives others the confidence to do the same. W https://t.co/6YaHi2fipM
Matt Lucas, host of Great British Bake Off and co-founder with David Walliams of the group ‘Little Britain’ also tweeted as ‘courageous‘ young Jake Daniels’ decision to come out publicly and also that it is a ‘‘historic day in British LGBT history.”
In his interview, Jake Daniels also recounted the reaction of his Blackpool teammates to his coming out, stating that they were all ”absolutely fantastic’‘ and that they ‘‘had his back.”

The United States. A group of friends and an association that cultivates ethnic discrimination, racial superiority, and the fight against any diversity as essential pillars of its doctrine. These are the main elements of this multi-faceted novel, at times raw and hard, far from pity and useless turns of phrase, in which extreme fanaticism leads a father to desire the evil of his homosexual son, to the point of acting personally for the annihilation of this inclination. Yet “REDEMPTION DAYS” is not a novel that takes away space for hope, the same feeling that will take possession of the protagonist’s page after page, directing them to arrive very differently from the departure, a goal in which ideas change, the true virtues emerge, evil and perversions are finally removed, to achieve so, in different ways, their individual redemption.
