Homophobic assaults also happen in Cagliari
On the evening of June 6, a 27-year-old young man was injured in the face. They attacked him with a knife by a 31-year-old convicted felon and a homeless man. The assault happened in one of the city’s most important squares, Carmine Square, although the two had already crossed paths two hours earlier in another city square.

In their first encounter, the attacker allegedly threatened the victim with shards of glass from a bottle, who fortunately escaped.
According to reports in local newspapers, investigators from the Police Mobile Squad could identify the attacker, and according to initial testimonies gathered, the attack allegedly stemmed from homophobia.
